Sole Source Contracts
Sole Source Contract Solution Federal Acquisition Regulations allow Federal Agencies to sole source unlimited contract value work to Suulutaaq as an ANC owned 8(a) company.  This allows federal clients to negotiate turnkey design-build services and control better the quality and cost of the finished project than a traditional design-bid-build process project. Suulutaaq will work as a partner with the client to maximize project efficiencies and incorporate ideas from the client, engineer and contractor into a final cost effective solution.

Local Hire and Training
Suulutaaq has a very successful track record for hiring and training of local individuals or employing qualified local subcontractors.   Suulutaaq’s local hiring practice provides current and future benefits to the local community by reinvesting the project money back into the local economy.   By providing training to develop both technical and management skills for local people. Alaska poses unique challenges for the construction and environmental remediation industry.  The short construction season, harsh weather coupled with remote project locations puts a significant burden on designers and contractors.  Suulutaaq believes that planning and logistics are paramount in the successful completion of any project.  However, work in Alaska demands extra attention for planning and logistics. Suulutaaq members have not only completed projects accessible by the road system and on military sites in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Delta Junction, but also in many remote locations served only by aircraft or by marine/river barges.
